2012 The Power of Obstacles and Success.

The greatest obstacle to your success is probably you. Have you heard this one before? With the arrival of the New Year many people set different goals and aspirations for bettering their lives, and well others do it for a short while, and then decide to give up. You probably think that the reason why you have not achieved your full potential is because of another factor, anything but you. Reality is you can choose to blame others, time or your circumstances. The power is in your hands to achieve your full potential today and to get yourself to the top and be number one. As an entrepreneur, it is not always easy to reach the top spot with so many doors getting shut down on you- but you take advantage of this to fuel your success.

When actions really speak louder than words.

You can either write something worth reading or do something worth writing about. It is better to do something worth writing about because taking action about something beats sitting around thinking about what to write about. Are you the type to sit around waiting for things to write about or do you step up and do things that are worth remembering?
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is not only important to do memorable things for your business but to do memorable things for others. Whether it is donating one of your blankets or giving away a can of food, it is the actions that beat the words, especially in times like these.

Quality

Quality is the best advertising. If you are giving your public a product that is non-competent, then they your company will be associated with being incompetent. When this occurs, your client has lost trust in you and your product.

Quality takes time and effort, quality is crafted with the finest materials. Are you giving your clients the best quality? or are you giving them quantity?

So craft yourself and your company with the finest goods in life, take the time to deliver quality. Its quality over quantity, always.

First day of November

Can't believe its already November! Many things come to a temporary stop this month! Crops for this year have been just been harvested and farmers know if their hard work during the year has paid off. Are you seeing your results just yet? Has your hard work paid off this year?

Have you ever heard of the quote "Make your customer the hero of your story"? Within the marketing business it is relevant to define your hero and make your hero feel accomplished and important. Don't miss your opportunity to target your "hero." Especially now, in this new beginning, the beginning of the month! Happy First day of November everyone!

Blogging Effectively - ENRICH Your Readers to Keep them Coming Back!

Enrich is a wonderful word – it’s a word we love at BrightDart. We want to make every experience our clients have with us a RICH experience. We want it to be rewarding in its process AND in its results.

How do we do that in our blogs? How do we make that little two-paragraph window into our company and our industry an enriching process and build in a reward? First of all, we keep it short. We expect to have a good following to our blog because we KNOW you are busy. No four paragraph lectures here.

One good idea a day! That’s what we want to give you. The reward? ONE GOOD IDEA! Not a dissertation, not a philosophical debate. MOST of you will have a busy client base who would love one simple takeaway also. BrightDart is an expert in one thing, marketing. That’s the focus.

So p
ick your focus, showcase your expertise, keep it SIMPLE and that, my friends, will enrich your readers!

Effective Blogging - Engage Your Audience!

Engaging your audience is like the home-run of blogging, right? How do you do that though?

There are some really subtle tools we’ve learned here at BrightDart from our own social media and blogging expert – and one of our favorites is to ask questions. According to our BrightDart blogging guru, even rhetorical questions engage the reader, don’t they? (You get the picture.) A question mark sets up an immediate physiological response in the reader. It creates a puzzle that your brain automatically wants to solve.

So go for it. Use subtle question marks that keep the conversation going. And use some pointed questions here and there that YOU, as a business, would like to know, like: “What is the #1 marketing dilemma you face right now?”

Trust me, asking what someone needs and inviting them into a back-and-forth conversation is more than the recipe for a great cocktail party – it’s a key component to relationship building.
